Position Summary:
* provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.
* Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing and grooming.
* Provide transportation assistance to clients.
* Provide respite care to clients and their families.
* Keep accurate and up to date records or clients' care plans and progress.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
* Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements
* Immediate availability – can start as early as Monday, November 10
* Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent education
* Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, Aged Care, or other relevant qualifications
* Lived or paid experience supporting people with disability
* Willingness to work sleepover shifts as part of a rotating schedule
* Strong understanding of the NDIS framework, principles, and participant rights
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining safe work practices
* Ability to support clients from diverse backgrounds, with sensitivity to cultural, linguistic, and individual needs
* Basic care and first aid skills to ensure client safety and wellbeing
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong general computer literacy for record-keeping and reporting
* Reliability and commitment – we need someone who can commit to their shifts and will not cancel at the last minute
