EOI - Depot Support Coordinator (9148)

Classification : Municipal Officer Level 3

Agreement : Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2024

Salary range : $91138 to $93969 per annum 13.5% superannuation.


About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by providing operational leadership to support the City Infrastructure Group and various operating groups within the Clearys Gates Giblin Street and Bushland Operations Depot and at the Domain Quarry.


Role accountabilities include

* Accountable for the day-to-day coordination and overseeing of human resources budget delegation plant customer service safety materials and other resources for the City Infrastructure Depot Support team.
* Supervise, mentor and performance manage staff to ensure agreed work targets are met or revised as necessary.
* Prepare periodic statistical and project information reports and correspondence as required to support project and operations management and monitoring and ensure the maintenance of relevant budget financial management data.
* Oversee the accurate maintenance and data entry of database systems used to record information on the Citys asset and IRM systems.
* Assist with the induction of new employees based at the Citys depots.
* Act as Chief Warden in case of emergency and conduct regular warden meetings.
* Coordinate contracting services including depot cleaning and mail courier services.

About you

Are you a highly organised professional with a passion for operational excellence? The City of Hobart is seeking a Depot Support Coordinator to oversee the smooth functioning of our depot operations and support the delivery of small to medium-scale projects.

* Diploma or higher in Business Administration or similar coupled with demonstrated practical competence acquired through several years of relevant experience.
* Current Driver Licence.
* Experience with financial software including the creation and processing purchase orders and work orders.
* High level of skills and experience in leading mentoring and performance management in the coordination and supervision of employees.
