You will work closely with Think HQ’s Founder & Managing Director, CFO and Executive Team in setting and delivering on the Company’s strategic objectives.The Finance Manager – Reporting & Operations will also be required to build partnerships and trust across all levels of the business, influencing without direct authority. Building credibility through transparent communication and reliable follow-through is vital.This role requires a strong analytical thinker, along with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, enabling smooth collaboration across diverse teams and departments.Role ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting and Reporting:Administer approved general accounting practices throughout the company to ensure accounting and financial reports accurately reflect the business operations and provide reliable information for control and management purposesLead and set the month-end timeline and process, including overseeing AP, AR and Payroll monthly closure, processing monthly adjusting journals and revenue recognition sign offGeneral Ledger, P&L and Balance Sheet ownership, including Balance Sheet Reconciliations, with a specific attention on WIPReview, analysis and follow up of financial results and monthly results reporting, including developing a narrative on monthly, quarterly and annual performance versus Budget and ForecastCashflow forecast & Working Capital managementSupport annual budgeting process and produce rolling forecast P&L along with variance commentary to Budget, to support informed decision makingFinancial Operations & Controls:Oversee day-to-day financial operations including AP, AR, payroll and cashflow managementOptimise and maintain our financial systems (including Workbook and Xero)Lead system improvements and process changes as the agency growsSupport compliance with internal policies and external regulationsBusiness partner with Senior Stakeholders to provide insights and learnings from financial analysis, to support informed decisions:Partner with department heads and executive leaders to provide financial insights that drive better decision-makingOversee revenue forecasting and support client profitability and job/project analysisContribute to resourcing decisions through workforce utilisation reportingAdvise teams and managers of Company procedures and best practicesTax and Compliance:Educate key stakeholders within the business on relevant tax and superannuation compliance, including management of independent contractors across translation services and production talent/crewOversight of tax obligations for the Company in conjunction with the Company’s external tax advisorQualifications7 years’ relevant work experience in a Senior Finance role, in a fast-paced, integrated agency environmentA degree in accounting, finance or a related field (CPA/CA preferred)Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial systems and operational controlsStrong analytical skills and commercial acumenExcellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience using platforms like Xero and Deltek Workbook (or similar systems)Confident communicator who can explain financial information clearly and influence without direct authorityComfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentA natural coach and mentor who lifts team capability and drives continuous improvementStrong alignment with Think HQ’s mission to create positive change, and a genuine commitment to working in a values-driven, purpose-led organisationDon’t worry if you don’t tick every requirement on this list – our priority is a talented and motivated individual with a positive attitude and who is willing to learn, grow and collaborate.
