Key Responsibilities: As a Support Worker with Hive Care Group, you will be responsible for providing person-centered care to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting independence. Your daily duties may include:
* Personal Care Assistance: Supporting clients with daily personal tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
* Community and Social Support: Assisting clients to engage in social activities, attend appointments, or participate in community events to foster social inclusion.
* Domestic Support: Helping with light household duties like meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning to create a comfortable living environment.
* Health and Well-being: Assisting with medication management, monitoring health conditions, and encouraging health-promoting activities.
* Life Skills Support: Helping clients develop skills for daily living such as budgeting, cooking, and communication.
* Developing Client Relationships: Building trust with clients and understanding their unique needs to provide the best care.
What We're Looking For:
* A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and promoting independence
* Previous experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role is preferred but not essential
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and team members
* Reliable, punctual, and responsible with a positive, proactive attitude
* Ability to follow support plans and communicate client progress with supervisors
* A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check
* First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
