Great opportunity to join a Global platform in Equity Sales Trading. We are looking for an experienced smart, ambitious motivated person willing to seek out opportunities who will be rewarded with autonomy and a supportive team within a global investment bank.
**What will you do?**
- Assist in maintaining, developing, and growing key client relationships
- Execution of client orders on Australian market for Australian & Global accounts
- Assist in initiating sales to Australian, Asian and International accounts
- Provide client flow and market information to the RBC Sales desk
- Existing local client relationships
- Undertake fundamentalist analysis and short-term trading ideas and arbitrage opportunities
- Support the sales and trading desk in general administration for all clients
- Assist in the production of daily notes and communications to clients
- Assist in development of electronic trading capabilities
- Support other traders and salespeople in Sydney and in offshore branches
- Solicit client orders from overseas branches
- Participate in morning meeting and global calls
- Assist with executions and reporting of RBCEL orders for their APAC markets
- Solicit and support the trading of Australian and Asian accounts into offshore markets via our offshore branches
**What do you need to succeed?**
**Must-have**
- Good knowledge of Australian equities market & financial markets generally
- DTR-qualified preferred
- Ideally 5 years or more of relevant experience
- Must maintain level of knowledge through CPD
- Modelling/Excel skills
- Tertiary level education
**Nice to have**
- Hedge Fund relationships
- A team player mindset
