Our expertise extends across each of the major engineering disciplines, from Building Services to Structural, Civil, and a significant number of sub-disciplines, including Traffic engineering and Remedial Work.
Reporting to the Building Services Manager, you will lead detailed mechanical building services design and documentation on a diverse range of projects. As the Associate Mechanical Engineer at our City Office, you will be responsible for:
1. Attending client and stakeholder design meetings;
2. Managing key projects and coordinating both mechanical and MEP design delivery;
3. Leading tenders and proposals;
4. Obtaining and preparing detailed project plans, including budgets, time forecasts, and resource planning;
5. The procurement of new projects for the Mechanical and wider JN team;
6. Building key client relationships and business development opportunities;
7. Growing and developing a mechanical design team.
Your experience will include:
1. A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering;
2. A minimum of 8 years' experience working within the Building Services industry;
3. Strong understanding of ventilation systems, smoke control, chilled and condenser water, VRF, DX, and Heat Recovery Systems;
4. Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Code;
5. Experience in managing multi-disciplinary project teams;
6. Managing a team and motivating to achieve business development goals;
7. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across disciplines including colleagues and clients;
8. A personable work approach, and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships;
9. Greenstar or NatHERS accreditation or proven ongoing commitment to innovative sustainability measures would be beneficial but is not required.
Work in a friendly office based near Sutherland station in the heart of the Shire. We enjoy monthly Accrued Days Off (ADO's) and as voted by the JN Team, we work in the office Monday, Thursday, and Friday with flexibility to work from home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
