A position has become available in our Tamworth Livestock Team for an experienced Maintenance Manager. Reporting to the Regional Livestock Manager this role requires a trade qualified, self-motivated person who can demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Ensure the maintenance department operates efficiently, comply to the Company's safety policies and procedures as well as to Biosecurity, Statutory and Legal requirements;
* Manage resources such that maintenance requests are prioritised appropriately to meet the business needs and expectations;
* Drive and model a leadership style and behaviour that supports a safety culture at all times;
* Managing the departmental budget ensuring budgeted costs and expenditure are in line with forecasts;
* Drive cultural change through empowering, leading and role modelling business principles and values and drive improvement in leadership and capability through effective coaching and mentoring;
* Manage and control preventative maintenance plan across all company farms and assets
* Manage people to deliver exceptional service.
* Manage and control all external contractors and projects
* Work to Baiada standards including Minimum Operating Standards, the Quality Management System, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Policy, Workplace Injury Management System, the Environmental Management System and Work Health and Safety System
* Manage all areas associated with maintaining primary processing operation ensuring that cost, service, quality, people and safety performance meets the required standards
* Provide clear direction to the maintenance team and manage their performance in line with company objectives
Requirements:
* Structured leadership training including conflict resolution and problem solving experience, preferably in a maintenance management role
* Contractor management experience
* Strong system experience in MEX maintenance system;
* Dual (electrical and mechanical) background is preferred;
* Ability to supervise maintenance shifts after hours;
* Having the ability & understanding of repairing a large number of different plants.
* Being able to cover on call & callouts if staff are on leave.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
