Location: Heatherbrae, NSW.
Roster: 4 days on, 3 days off (Monday‐Thursday).
Frequent travel across the Southeast region.
Company car provided.
Responsibilities
* Perform on‐site technical support, servicing, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, commissioning, and component replacements on Sandvik mining equipment.
* Maintain and repair a range of specialist mining equipment including surface drills, underground trucks, loaders, development and production drills, ancillary UG equipment, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and automation setups.
* Execute mechanical maintenance tasks—planned and unplanned—according to maintenance plans, ensuring equipment integrity and safe operation.
* Open, update, and complete digital work orders, recording labour, parts, expenses, failure codes, and notes.
* Keep meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs.
* Provide insightful feedback to improve maintenance planning.
* Champion safety by adhering to all policies and procedures, especially Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.
Qualifications
* Local Newcastle candidate with an Australian‐recognized Mechanical Trade Certification.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and a solid background in electrical or hydraulic systems.
* Demonstrated experience with trucks, loaders, and drilling mobile mining equipment.
* Proven safety culture, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong customer service focus.
* Basic computer literacy and a valid Class C Manual Driver's Licence.
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical and regular drug and alcohol screening.
* Right to live and work in Australia.
