* Base Salary, Academic Level A $113,400 - $121,054 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The School of Life and Environmental Sciences is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate (Data Driven Therapeutic Discovery) to work closely with the lead investigator, AI collaborators, and research staff on therapeutic discovery programs.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* design and execute wet lab experiments supporting neurological therapeutic development
* perform molecular biology and cloning, including construction of mRNA or expression libraries
* lead in vivo studies, including delivery, tissue collection, phenotyping, and downstream analysis
* integrate and analyse multimodal datasets using Python or R to inform experimental decisions
* contribute to figures, manuscripts, and grant deliverables aligned with funded milestones.
About you

* a PhD in neuroscience, molecular biology, bioengineering, pharmacology, or a closely related discipline
* strong hands on wet lab experience, including molecular biology, cloning, and cell based assays
* demonstrated experience leading or contributing to in vivo studies, including delivery, tissue collection, and phenotyping
* ability to analyse and integrate experimental datasets using Python or R, including scripting, statistical analysis, and visualization; applicants are encouraged to include links to relevant code or repositories in their CV
* experience working with multimodal or data driven research workflows and translating quantitative outputs into experimental decisions
* interest in translational or therapeutic discovery research, with the ability to independently plan and execute experiments.
