We have an opportunity for an Experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at CLINICS.
We require an individual who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, with a "can do" attitude towards all tasks, and the ability to work autonomously at a fast pace as well as in a team. As this is a growing practice, a bubbly personality and the ability to think on your feet are essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Opening and closing the clinic as per set procedures
2. Greeting patients and callers professionally and courteously
3. Making appointments for patients
4. Managing medical records confidentially and efficiently
5. Processing patient payments via cash, Eftpos, and direct bill transactions
6. Invoicing Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC, and Workcover
7. Knowledge of the MBS schedule and correct billing procedures
8. Dealing courteously and helpfully with referring doctors, hospital staff, pharmacists, etc.
9. Attending to patient inquiries
10. Checking and handling internal emails
11. Filling in the roster during staff absences
12. Maintaining the reception waiting area and consulting rooms, including spill cleanup if necessary
13. Ensuring the accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records, including scanning, faxing, and filing documents
14. Maintaining confidentiality of patient personal and financial information at all times
15. Completing recalls
16. Supporting the day-to-day operations of the medical centre
17. Providing exceptional customer service and teamwork skills
18. Having a high level of computer literacy and IT knowledge
19. Experience using Best Practice software is desirable
In addition, the candidate must provide:
1. Current Police Check
2. Current Working with Children clearance
3. Current First Aid/CPR certificate
4. Immunisation Record
5. Driving Licence/Photo ID

1. Demonstrated ability to work in a team
2. Experience with medical software (BEST PRACTICE/MEDICAL DIRECTOR)
3. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including multitasking
5. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
6. Commitment to providing quality patient service
