About the Role:

Echuca Regional Health is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to step into our newly created McGrath Cancer Care Nurse role. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of people affected by cancer.

Key responsibilities include:

* Deliver expert advice to patients, carers and health professionals within the service
* Develop, implement and evaluate care management plans for patients with blood cancer and complex health needs
* Work closely with haematology, radiation oncology, palliative care and allied health teams to ensure continuity of care
* Contribute to strategic and operational planning and coordinate specialist consultant services
* Act as a role model and provide leadership in advancing clinical practice aligned with the McGrath Model of Care and blood cancer care pathways
* Actively participate in mandatory meetings as required and requested
* Maintain core clinical competence specific to the area of clinical practice

Qualifications/experience required:

* Registered Nurse with minimum 5 years' Post Graduate experience
* Registered Nurse with minimum 3 years' cancer nursing and haematology nursing experience
* Current AHPRA Registration
* Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills

Desirable:

* Post Graduate Certificates in Cancer Nursing and/ or Haematology
