o $74,831 - $102,103 p.a | RN/M1
o $87,416 - $110,497 p.a | RN/M2C
* In addition to base salary, this position attracts Superannuation, Leave Loading, Zone Allowance and once off Incidental Payment (conditions apply), Professional Development Allowance, and Salary Sacrificing Benefits (salary packaging ).
Please note that as this position is multi-classed as either a RN/M2C or RN/M1, the classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.

Whyalla Hospital and Health Services is a large regional hospital comprising of 75 beds including flex beds and a designated High Dependency Unit. The hospital provides a wide range of services, including emergency, medical and surgical, maternity, rehabilitation, mental health, and outpatients. Whyalla Hospital's Cancer Resource Centre is one of the largest in regional South Australia. It includes six chemotherapy chairs, outpatient care and counselling services, reducing the need to travel outside of the region for care. It is also, one of three stroke services in regional SA, providing specialised treatment for suitable stroke patients 24/7, supported by metropolitan stroke units. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers, to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community. About the Role:
The Clinical Midwife (RN/M2C) delivers advanced nursing and/or midwifery care across diverse health settings, building expertise through experience and continued professional development. At this level, nurses progress from proficient practitioners to emerging clinical leaders.
They take full responsibility for their own practice standards, confidently manage delegated activities, and play a key role in guiding and supporting less experienced colleagues.
While maintaining a primarily clinical focus, Clinical Nurses are also entrusted with meaningful portfolio responsibilities, tailored to their career aspirations and agreed upon through ongoing performance and development planning.
As a Registered Midwife (RN/M1), you'll deliver essential nursing and/or midwifery care across a variety of health service settings, growing from a novice practitioner to a confident, proficient professional. This role offers continuous opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills through hands-on experience and ongoing professional development.
You will take ownership of your own practice standards while responsibly managing tasks delegated to others, making a meaningful impact on patient care every day.

About You:
RN/M1
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
RN/M2C
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
* Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
* Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
