The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive national account growth and secure commercially viable new business opportunities across contract roasting, private label, co‑manufacturing and broader FMCG channels.
This role is critical to expanding Nomad's market presence. You'll be responsible for building a strong pipeline, converting opportunities into long‑term partnerships, and delivering sustainable revenue growth aligned with our operational capability and strategic ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, pursue and secure new contract roasting and national account opportunities
* Develop and execute targeted business development strategies aligned to Nomad's growth strategy
* Proactively source and qualify leads through networks, events and direct outreach
* Build and manage a robust commercial pipeline, including forecasting and reporting
* Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, tenders and pitch presentations
* Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitor activity to inform strategy
Account & Relationship Management
* Act as the primary point of contact for key national accounts
* Lead structured business reviews and identify opportunities for growth and optimisation
* Collaborate with Production, Operations, Finance, QA and Customer Service to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery
* Manage forecasts, volumes and contract timelines to support production planning
* Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, strengthening long‑term partnerships
Commercial & Administration
* Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline visibility
* Track and analyse sales data, trends and performance gaps
* Share customer and market insights with internal stakeholders to inform planning and innovation
* Contribute to cross‑functional projects and commercial initiatives as required
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience winning new business and driving revenue growth within B2B environments, such as contract roasting, hospitality, franchise, catering, distribution, or multi‑site customer models.
* Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle – from prospecting through to negotiation and close
* Strong commercial acumen, including forecasting, pricing and revenue management
* Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
* Highly self‑motivated, proactive and comfortable working autonomously
* Strong relationship‑building capability with a long‑term, partnership mindset
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field (preferred but not essential)
