We are currently seeking a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to join our production team in a hands-on technical role supporting the design, build, and commissioning of chiller systems.
The Role
As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you will support our Production and Engineering departments to efficiently deliver industrial chiller systems and associated equipment. This role involves workshop-based system assembly, testing, and site commissioning, with additional involvement in design tasks and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and assemble industrial hydraulic systems
* Commission and test systems both in-house and on-site
* Troubleshoot industrial chillers
* Support concept design in collaboration with engineering
* Document technical processes in an ISO9001 environment
* Mentor and support production staff and apprentices
* Ensure all work complies with OH&S and site safety standards
* Participate in R&D and factory maintenance activities
Skills & Experience
* Current ARCtick Refrigeration Handling Licence (RHL)
* Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
* Minimum 3 years' experience in HVAC service, repair & installation
* Proven experience with industrial chillers
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Ability to read and interpret P&ID or hydraulic/pneumatic schematics
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT tools
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high attention to detail
Qualifications
* Mechanical Trade, Technical, or Engineering Qualification
* Experience in manufacturing or chiller industry is highly desirable
