You'll be tasked with solving novel and complex problems, adapting to ever evolving energy system needs and proactively considering how to enhance outcomes for consumers and taxpayers.You'll collaborate with the brightest and best minds, growing your skills whilst belonging to a highly respectful and inclusive culture, sharing the commitment to an essential purpose.About the Role & Team:Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk, this role is responsible for providing strategic and operational support and advisory to the organisation to ensure risk management is seamlessly incorporated into business plans and daily activities. Integral to this role is your expertise in developing, implementing and overseeing enterprise risk frameworks, policies and risk appetite statements, and collaborating with senior stakeholders. You will lead by example and support the business to embed a proactive risk culture and continuous improvement mindset, strengthening AEMO Services’ resilience, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability and ensuring AEMO Services is always compliant and delivering best practice. Your proactive nature, excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to prepare professional reports and detailed analyses are key to be successful in this role.About the Responsibilities & Accountabilities:Support the design & maintenance of key enterprise risk management policies & frameworks, nc. Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Risk Appetite Statement to ensure a robust approach to risk management & mitigationWork closely with business units to ensure consistent adoption of risk management policies and frameworks, ensuring clarity and consistency in managing risks and controls across the organisationLead the embedment and maturity of the three lines model to enhance risk ownership and provide oversight, review and challenge to ensure risk policies and frameworks are embedded into business processesEngage with management on risk issues, reviewing metrics, processes, and risk events (e.g. RCSA, KRIs), and work with cross-functional teams to address risks effectivelyAssess operational risk resiliency across key business areas and flag emerging trends to senior managementPrepare high quality papers and reports on enterprise risk management practices for management and boardSupport the organisation’s insurance renewals, including data collection and risk reportingPromote cultural change and risk awareness within the organisation by developing and delivering education and training activitiesBe an active member of the Risk & Compliance Community of Practice to share information, updates, and insights for improvements to enterprise risk managementMaintain the Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) IT system and associated processesSkills and Experiences:About You & the Role Requirements:Demonstrated experience in an enterprise and/or operational risk management role, preferably within a large corporation or regulated environmentStrong knowledge or experience in developing risk management frameworks, standards and best practices in risk and controls managementDemonstrated ability to strengthen risk culture and risk management practicesDemonstrated capability to drive end-to-end engagements, identify opportunities, provide advice, and conduct high-quality risk assessmentsProactive stakeholder management with demonstrated ability in negotiation and resolution managementExperience creating dashboards, reporting, and training contentCollaborative mindset with a high attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills, professional level reports and deliverables, and data analysis expertiseExperience in monitoring and reporting on the adequacy and effectiveness of the risk and control environment (including emerging risks, risk exposures and risk appetite)Understanding of and interest in the energy sector, its challenges and opportunitiesAs a genuinely hybrid, flexible workplace, we can consider applications from any Australian based location.
