As Practice Manager, you'll hold a pivotal position shaping culture, service delivery and the overall patient experience.
Key Responsibilities – People & Leadership
* Lead and support the Office Manager, reception team, practice nurses and GPs (non-clinical matters)
* Oversee recruitment, induction, training and performance management
* Manage rosters, leave and Wageloch payroll preparation
* Maintain strong communication and foster a positive team culture
* Resolve staff concerns and encourage professional development
* Coordinate staff meetings and ensure follow-through on action items
Operations & Governance
* Oversee day-to-day operations across both practice locations
* Maintain efficient appointment systems, billing flow and patient pathways
* Ensure policies, processes and accreditation standards are met
* Manage patient feedback, complaints and incident reporting
* Support quality improvement and risk mitigation strategies
What You'll Need
* Previous experience as a Practice Manager or senior medical practice administrator
* Strong understanding of general practice operations and workflows
* High-level financial management, budgeting and reporting skills
* Experience with payroll legislation and HR processes
* Excellent communication and leadership capability
* Strong IT and systems competency
* Professionalism, confidentiality and organisational maturity
* Ability to build strong stakeholder and community relationships
Desirable
* Experience with Best Practice (BP)
* Understanding of MBS billing
* Familiarity with general practice accreditation standards
