Understanding of government financial management and operations
Capability to provide technical advice to a non-technical audience.
Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Accounting qualifications highly regarded.
Primary Job Purpose:
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitor and report on financial results against budgets.
Lead internal budgeting, forecasting, and costing activities.
Prepare portfolio budget submissions and other government requests.
Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders on financial and budget management.
Prepare written papers for NBA Executive, Audit and Risk Committee, and Senate estimates.
Manage facilities services arrangements, including property management.
Assist in implementing system changes and business improvement activities
Manage the performance and development of a small team.
Contribute to the organisational strategy and culture.
Perform other duties to support Client priorities.
