Job Opportunity
The role of Head of Department, Occupational Therapy requires an experienced leader to manage Mental Health Occupational Therapy clinical services.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Mental Health Occupational Therapy clinical services at Concord Centre for Mental Health (CCMH), Professor Marie Bashir Centre (PMBC) and Naamuru.
* Supervise staff, manage professional standards, and develop safety and quality within the department.
* Provide professional supervision to other health professionals in mental health services, as delegated.
* Work with the Professional Discipline Director of Occupational Therapy and other Heads of Departments to enhance Occupational Therapy services, standards, and quality across Sydney LHD.
Essential Requirements:
* A Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy with current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist, as well as relevant postgraduate qualifications in clinical leadership and/or management or willingness to undertake same.
* Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and clinical experience in the provision of Occupational Therapy across a broad range of clinical areas in Mental Health.
* Demonstrated ability and experience in the leadership, supervision, and management of Occupational Therapists. This includes demonstrated ability to identify and lead change across the Occupational Therapy service to improve service delivery models and meet identified KPIs.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
