Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director Australia, the HR & Communication Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the people and communication agenda in line with the global HR policies of Mérieux NutriSciences. This individual will closely work with (2) HR Business Partners to provide expert HR and communication counsel and ensure the alignment of HR and Communication strategies and tools with business objectives.
Leadership Team HR Business Partner:
* Provide strategic HR guidance and support to the Managing Director.
* Manage and lead merger and acquisition (M&A) activities with relation to human resources due diligence and integration plans.
* Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all HR and communication matters.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's overall business strategy.
Workforce Planning & Development:
* Develop and implement comprehensive workforce planning strategies to ensure the organization has the necessary capabilities, resources, and skills to achieve its goals.
* Identify and address skill gaps and develop training and development programs to enhance employee performance.
* Oversee talent acquisition and retention strategies by developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
* Manage the recruitment and selection process for executives positions.
Unions Negotiation, Work Council Relations and Legal Watch:
* Lead negotiations with unions and manage relationships with work councils.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian employment laws and regulations.
* Provide advice and direction to ensure legislative and company policy compliance is achieved across the business.
Compensation & Benefits Policies:
* Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs in line with the global C&B policies.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant compensation and benefits regulations.
Performance & Talent Management / Succession Planning:
* Leverage the global performance management campaign to build a development and reward strategy to our the employees.
* Lead talent management and succession planning initiatives to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
* Identify and develop high potential employees.
Internal Communication and Employer Branding:
* Develop and execute internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and alignment.
* Build and maintain a strong employer brand to attract and retain top talent.
Successful Candidate:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
* Extensive experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably in a multinational organization.
* Proven experience in workforce planning, talent management, industrial relations, compensation and benefits.
* Strong understanding of Australian employment laws and regulations.
* Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office, Google suite & HRIS).
* Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels (global, regional and local).
