Randstad is currently seeking an experienced Auditor to join a high-performing government team.
2-3 month contract | Brisbane QLD
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake comprehensive fieldwork for financial and assurance audits. This includes conducting interim and final testing, audit planning, and investigating client data to identify potential risks.
* Coordinate the day-to-day operations of lower-risk audits. You will manage the program of work, including scoping, resourcing, and budgeting to ensure delivery remains on track.
* Prepare clear, professional reports and presentations. You will communicate complex findings and risks to clients, converting technical audit data into actionable insights.
* Support the supervision and review of team working papers and the work of experts, ensuring consistent quality and effective methodology across the board.
Essential Experience
* Previous experience in financial or assurance auditing is required.
* A deep understanding of Auditing, Assurance, and Accounting.
* Ability to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders with clarity, sensitivity, and professionalism.
* A proactive approach to research, problem-solving, and meeting strict budgetary and time frame requirements.
* A degree in Accounting, or a related field is essential. Progress toward or completion of a CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.
