Salary: $119,125 - $126,950 (G08) + 17% Superannuation

In this position you will offer strategic support for large scale projects and take the lead on small‑scale projects, ensuring they align with our planning and sustainability goals. You will be responsible for defining project objectives, engaging stakeholders, reporting on progress, and delivering planning projects.

Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and design of capital works projects, including needs and feasibility assessments, project proposals, definition plans, risk management, concept design, budgets, programs, and impact assessments.
- Coordinate and oversee delivery of capital works portfolios from conception to completion in collaboration with the Capital Projects Directorate.
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies, manage consultations, and document outcomes.
- Provide advice on statutory requirements, land use planning, and asset management within project proposals and plans.
- Coordinate procurement and contractual arrangements and manage consultant performance and outputs.
- Support PF&D; Planning to align projects with the University’s Master Plan, Asset Management Plan, Green Star Communities, and Design and Delivery Guidelines.
- Represent PF&D; in internal and external forums as required.
- Uphold the University’s Values and Signature Behaviours through professional and ethical conduct.
- Undertake other duties consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the role.
Qualifications
- A relevant degree in planning, architecture, urban design or equivalent.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage and implement project plans.
- Demonstrated practical application of place making, planning and building design and ability to understand project data and architectural drawings.
- Demonstrated understanding of statutory and compliance requirements relating to the building industry.
- High level interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to consult and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to construct explicit and concise project reports.
- Proven ability to work well in a team, leading and supporting others, accepting direction and working to group goals.
- Demonstrated critical analysis skills with the ability to exercise sound judgement in decision making.
Role Requirements
- As this is a fixed‑term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
