Job Title: Machinist Fitter
We are seeking a skilled and experienced machinist fitter to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Build and recondition driveshafts for automotive, commercial, off-highway, and industrial applications.
2. Machines driveline components.
3. Assembles, welds, and balances driveshafts.
4. Performs general workshop duties as required.
You will be reporting to the Branch Manager and working as part of a team located in Mackay, Australia.

Requirements:
1. Well-developed fitting and machining skills obtained in a workshop environment.
2. Solid mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
3. Experience operating manual lathes and welding equipment is essential.
4. Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility with job tasks.
5. The ability to participate in ongoing training and be open to new ideas.
6. A proven safety and quality focus to perform assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner.
7. A willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to achieving business targets.
8. Certificate 2 in Engineering is desirable – basic machining skills are preferred.
