We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Garden Department Lead to take ownership of our Garden Centre and Outdoor Living Department. This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to someone who is passionate about gardening, enjoys working with people and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

About the Role
Reporting to the Store Management Team, you will be responsible for leading the day‐to‐day operations of the Garden Department including:
* Delivering outstanding customer service and expert advice
* Leading, coaching and developing team members
* Managing inventory, stock levels and replenishment
* Maintaining exceptional department presentation and merchandising standards
* Planning and executing seasonal displays and promotions
* Managing plant health, quality and stock rotation
* Working closely with suppliers and managing stock ordering
* Driving department sales and profitability
* Ensuring a safe and productive work environment
* Supporting trade, commercial and retail customers
Roster
This is a full‐time leadership position working Sunday to Thursday, providing a predictable schedule and two consecutive days of each week.
About You
* Is passionate about gardening, horticulture, landscaping or outdoor living
* Has previous retail, garden centre, nursery or landscaping experience
* Has experience leading or supervising a team
* Is highly customer‐focused and enjoys helping people
* Is organised and capable of managing inventory and stock control
* Has strong communication and problem‐solving skills
* Is reliable, honest and hard‐working
* Leads by example and is willing to get their hands dirty
* Takes pride in presentation and attention to detail
* Has Australian work rights as this is a requirement for the position
Highly Regarded
* Horticulture qualifications
* Nursery or garden centre experience
* Landscaping or irrigation experience
* Hardware retail experience
* Forklift licence
