Job Description
Inventory Planning
Create and update stock forecasts using sales and production needs.
Keep track of minimum and maximum stock levels.
Plan replenishment orders with the Purchasing team.
Balance stock levels to maintain service while managing cash flow.
Monitor slow‑moving and obsolete items.
Help with demand and seasonal forecasting.
Inventory Control & Accuracy
Keep inventory accurate in the ERP system.
Set up and maintain storage bays and racking locations.
Run cycle counts and stocktakes.
Investigate and fix stock variances.
Track and reduce stock write‑offs.
Put in place corrective actions to stop repeated issues.
Ensure FIFO/FEFO is followed.
Prevent negative stock and incorrect stock movements.
Target: Maintain 98-100% stock accuracy.
ERP & Master Data Management
Maintain correct SKU data: units, pack sizes, barcodes, and lot controls.
Review parent/child SKU setups.
Ensure item costings and setups are correct.
Monitor automated uploads and journals.
Support improvements to ERP processes.
Warehouse Operations Oversight
Check all goods received match purchase orders.
Ensure batches and expiry dates are recorded correctly.
Manage procedures for quarantine and damaged stock.
Oversee dispatch stock checks and reconciliations.
Train warehouse staff on inventory processes when needed.
Purchasing & Purchase Order Management
Raise purchase orders for smallgoods and freezer stock.
Make sure quantities, pricing, and terms are entered correctly.
Track outstanding purchase orders and follow up with suppliers.
Plan orders using par levels, sales trends, lead times, and customer orders.
Production Stock Planning & Allocation
Allocate the right stock to Production for cutting and mincing.
Provide weekly advice on how many portion steaks and burgers to produce based on recent sales and trends.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Warehouse Inventory Planner Should Have
Experience working within fast past warehouse environment with 2-3 years experience in inventory control and planning.
Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG (highly desirable)
Strong ERP experience (preferably Microsoft Business Central or similar)
Strong Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
High attention to detail
Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO and batch control systems
Process-driven and highly organised
Strong communicator
Financially literate
Hands-on and proactive
Continuous improvement mindset
What's On Offer
