We are currently seeking an Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance team located at Charmhaven on the Central Coast of NSW.
The Role
Working on state-of-the-art equipment, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and completing process improvement and installation projects ensuring technical requirements and specifications are being adhered to.
On-going breakdown support and general electrical work will also be required.
To be successful in this role you will
Be a qualified and experienced electrician
Have a good knowledge of AS**** and be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge in all facets of electrical work and a firm commitment to safe work practice
Have the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and PLC I/O drawings
Have experience with fault-finding on industrial control systems
Be competent with three-phase systems, motors, motor starters, VFDs, and protection devices
Have strong understanding of electrical safety and LOTO
Have the ability to diagnose and replace sensors, relays, contactors, actuators
Have basic knowledge of industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, DeviceNet, etc.)
The following skills/experience are not essential but will be highly regarded in the selection process
Experience with Allen-Bradley / Siemens PLCs (reading ladder, basic troubleshooting)
Ability to fault-find using Allen-Bradley Studio **** / RSLogix and Siemens TIA / Simatic Manager for monitoring and basic editing
Understanding of SCADA / HMI systems, specifically Cimplicity and Wonderware System Platform
Familiar with VSDs, soft starters, servo drives, motion control
Basic understanding of PID loops and instrumentation
Experience with safety circuits (E-stops, light curtains, interlocks, PLe/SIL)
This is a full-time permanent position.
To be successful in this role you must be self-motivated and be willing to put in the work needed to complete jobs in a timely manner.
Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are paramount.
As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.
