The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Assistant to join the team at Broadmeadows
You will be responsible for:
General Duties
- Perform basic QC tasks to ensure parts meet business quality standards
- Scanning, taking photos and labelling of automotive parts
- Package and wrap parts for transport to warehouse
- Load stillages with parts and stillage on to transfer truck
- Assist with stock and consumables counts
- Using scanners to ensure all parts are located correctly
- Ensure parts are collected from Dismantlers in a timely manner
- Ensure appropriate PPE worn and work area is kept clean
- Assist in washing Engines, Transmissions and other parts
- Assist in draining Fuel Buggies into allocated Fuel IBCs
- General yard and forklift duties as required
The successful candidate will have the following:
Specialist Knowledge
- MUST HAVE - Forklift licence
- Knowledge of mechanical car parts and panels
- Understanding of the long-term goals and aspirations of the organisation
Experience & Skills
- Experience in yard maintenance
- Problem solving
- Able to work safely and efficiently both in a team environment and independently
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Able to professionally represent the organisation
