ALCO Roofing Services is seeking a motivated roofing apprentice who wants to learn the trade properly and build a long-term career in roofing.
We specialise in roof tiling and roof plumbing and train apprentices to a high standard. We don't rush jobs, guess on site, or change methods job to job — we work off clear systems, priorities, and checklists, so every job is done the right way and apprentices learn quickly, clearly, and with confidence.
How You'll Be Trained
* Step-by-step on-site training using set processes for each type of work
* Clear priorities so you always know what to do, in what order, and why
* Repetition of proven methods across jobs to build speed and consistency
* Hands-on learning with experienced tradesmen who explain both how and why
* Job photos, inspections, and checklists to ensure nothing is missed
We understand that learning a trade involves making mistakes. Apprentices are supported to learn from there mistakes under supervision, then shown how to correct the issue. Ownership is expected — mistakes are faced, fixed, and learned from — not hidden.
Our approach develops you into an accountable, confident roofer who takes pride in their workmanship and stands behind their team mates.
What You'll Be Learning
* Roof tile maintenance, leak detection & repairs
* Full roof re-tiling works
* Ridge capping, re-bedding & repointing
* Valley replacement & flashing work
* Roof plumbing fundamentals (gutters, fascia, downpipes)
* Broken tile identification and replacement
* Safe work practices at heights
* Roof inspections, photos & reporting
* Maintaining clean, organised, professional worksites
What We're Looking For
* 1st or 2nd year roofing apprentice (or keen starter with site experience)
* Genuine interest in roofing as a long-term trade
* White Card (essential)
* Working at Heights (or willing to obtain)
* Driver's licence & reliable transport
* Physically fit, punctual, and reliable
* Strong attitude, accountability, and pride in workmanship
Career Progression
