GP Partnership or Salaried Opportunity
We are seeking a General Practitioner to join our team at Ball Tree Surgery, located on the South Coast of England. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
About Us
Our practice is a forward-thinking, established training practice with a strong focus on education and personal development. We have a diverse team of 15 GPs working a mix of sessions across the week, including extended hours on Saturdays and evenings. Our team is supported by Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and Physios.
Main Duties
1. Diagnosis and Treatment: Examining patients, diagnosing illnesses, and prescribing or administering appropriate treatments.
2. Referrals: Referring patients to specialists or hospitals when necessary.
3. Health Education: Providing health advice and promoting preventative care measures like vaccinations and smoking cessation.
4. Management of Chronic Conditions: Managing patients with chronic conditions like diabetes or heart disease.
5. Administrative Tasks: Signing prescriptions, completing paperwork, and managing patient records.
6. Continuity of Care: Providing ongoing care to patients and building relationships with them.
7. Teamwork: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including specialists and nurses.
8. Emergency Response: Responding to emergency situations within the practice setting.
9. Professional Development: Staying up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and best practices.
10. Patient Education: Explaining test results, medical procedures, and treatment options to patients in a clear and understandable way.
11. Mental Health: Recognising and addressing mental health concerns, and making appropriate referrals.
Person Specification
We are looking for a qualified GP with:
* Experience of working in a primary care environment.
* Experience of continued professional development.
* Experience of QOF and/or clinical audit.
* General understanding of the primary care contract.
* Experience of medicines management.
* Experience of ICB initiatives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold:
* A qualification in General Practice.
* An MRCGP.
* A vocational training certificate or equivalent.
* A CCT.
