The Riverview Tavern has experienced major growth in food in the last year, and we are looking to expand this offering in 2026 with plans for weekend breakfast. A major refurbishment was completed in 2024, and our kitchen is fitted out with new modern equipment. We are searching for a Head Chef who will lead and continue to grow our food offering and set our culinary team up for success.
We are looking for a Head Chef that will lead guide and grow our current team, but alongside this elevate our food offerings to be the best in region.
This is a key leadership role within our business and one that will require working with the Hotel Manager closely to achieve the best outcomes for our valued customers and business.
Our ideal candidate will posses the following skills qualities and capabilities.
* Be a hands-on leader
* Be cool calm and collected to ensure a smooth coordinated service, while maintaining Quality and efficiency
* Trade Industry Qualification in Commercial Cookery
* Have a minimum 5 years industry experience
* Manage all aspects of the kitchen operations including but not limited to stock ordering, stock control, minimising stock losses
* Conduct and co-ordinate monthly food stocktakes in conjunction with the Hotel Manager
* Rostering of staff
* Development of a variety of menus, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, all day dining, snack menus as well as daily specials
* Manage maintain and control all aspects of the hotels food safety control plan
* Have full knowledge and understanding of standard 3.2.2A
* Ensure that hotel Lillywhite Hotel Group culinary standards are adhered to and maintained.
