We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher/ Developmental Educator to join our growing team
In this role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality support to children under the age of seven who have a developmental delay or disability, as well as their families. Your expertise and care will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and development in a supportive, inclusive environment.
As a CareMile employee in this role you must have the following:
· A Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Special Education
· Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
· Full membership with Developmental Educators Australia Inc. (DEAI) (Advance)
· A recognised tertiary qualification in Allied Health, Social Work, or Early Childhood Teaching from an accredited university
· Unrestricted working rights in Australia
· A current Working with Children Check (WWC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check
· A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
· Current First Aid and CPR certification
· Sound knowledge of early childhood development and its practical application
· Strong ability to build genuine, respectful relationships with children, families, and their support networks
As an Early Childhood or Special Educator at CareMile, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality services to NDIS participants. You will be responsible for providing early intervention support through family-centred, strengths-based approaches that empower children and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Delivering Early Childhood and/or Special Education services to NDIS participants, primarily through home visits
· Demonstrating and embodying CareMile's core values in all aspects of your work
· Achieving positive outcomes for children and families, contributing to team success, and meeting KPIs
· Assessing and communicating each child's development and progress
· Planning, developing, and coordinating support strategies in partnership with families, focusing on strengths and goals
· Providing support using a transdisciplinary key worker model, promoting collaboration among professionals and allied health professionals
· Facilitating a "team around the child" approach that encourages participation in family, and other supports in place
· Ensuring all supports are well-documented, coordinated, and clearly communicated to families and professionals
· Working closely with other allied health professionals using an interdisciplinary, collaborative model to deliver a holistic approach
· Maintaining a participant and family-centred approach in all interactions with participants and their support teams
· Advocating for early intervention strategies to enhance function and improve quality of life
· Conducting assessments and contributing to the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of individualised participant plans
· Providing evidence-based services aligned with the goals and funded hours in each participant's NDIS plan

· Conducting initial home visits to build rapport and information gathering with families to understand their goals NDIS or other, and begin developing tailored support plans
· Providing therapy sessions in preschools, schools, or after-school settings to help children develop essential motor skills
· Collaborating with all allied health professionals and families to support the participant for a multidisciplinary approach
· Applying your background and experience to integrate strategies and techniques that enhance therapy outcomes during sessions
