The Parts Specialist I provides foundational aftermarket support by identifying, quoting, and processing spare parts and replacement components in accordance with established procedures. The role supports Application Engineers, Sales, and Order Processing teams by ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and documentation completeness for parts-related inquiries and orders.
This position operates under defined guidelines and standard work, focusing on execution and customer responsiveness rather than engineering judgment or solution ownership.
Responsibilities
* Supports aftermarket spare parts identification and quoting using existing documentation, ERP data, BOMs, and drawings
* Responds to internal and external parts inquiries with correct and complete information per company procedures
* Prepares parts quotations using standard pricing tools and discount structures
* Enters parts orders into the ERP system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation
* Coordinates with Application Engineers when technical clarification is required beyond defined parts scope
* Supports order progression by communicating with Sales, Supply Chain, and Order Engineering as needed
* Tracks open quotes and orders to support on-time customer response and fulfillment
* Provides professional customer service by meeting expectations for timeliness, accuracy, and follow-through
* Follows all standard work instructions, quality procedures, and documentation requirements

Functional / Technical
* Demonstrates working knowledge of aftermarket parts, components, and part
* Ability to interpret BOMs, drawings, manuals, and ERP data for parts identification
* Applies established rules and procedures to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
* Proficient with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office tools Professional
* Responds promptly to customer and internal requests; meets defined service

Qualifications
* Associate's degree or equivalent experience in engineering technology, business, supply chain, or related field
* 0–2 years of experience in aftermarket support, customer service, inside sales, or technical support
* Basic understanding of industrial or mechanical components
