The Youth Support and Development Program walks alongside young people who are navigating disconnection, uncertainty or barriers to education, training and employment. As a Case Worker, you will be part of the moment a young person realises they are capable, valued and not alone. Your support can change the trajectory of a life.# **About the role**This role is all about meaningful connection. You will work closely with young people to build life skills, strengthen independence, and create pathways toward education, training and employment. Through one-on-one support, group programs and community engagement, you will help young people reconnect with their strengths, their culture and their sense of possibility.This is a permanent part-time position offering 30.4 hours per week and is based in Port Augusta. Reporting to the Team Leader, this position is within the Country Youth Services team. Pay is in accordance with a SCHADS Level 4.# **How you will make an impact*** Build trusting, empowering relationships with young people that encourage self-determination* Provide case management support grounded in youth development and trauma-informed practice* Work alongside young people to identify goals, strengths and opportunities for growth* Facilitate group programs that build life skills, confidence and community connection* Support young people to engage and sustain education, training and employment pathways* Assist young people to access community supports and specialised services* Provide 1:1 support to strengthen independent living skills and social connection* Advocate for young people with government and non-government agencies* Maintain accurate case notes and documentation aligned with TSA and funding requirements* Respond to risk, incidents and wellbeing concerns with professionalism and care* Promote youth voice, participation and feedback in all aspects of service delivery* Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture that values learning and continuous improvement# **What you will bring*** Certificate IV in a community services related field (e.g. Mental Health, Community Services, Youth Work)* Experience working with young people in a social services environment* Experience facilitating group work* Strong understanding of youth development, trauma-informed practice and youth sector frameworks* Ability to build genuine, respectful relationships with young people, families and community networks* Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills* Confidence responding to challenging behaviour and supporting young people through crisis* Commitment to TSA's mission, values and inclusive practice* Driver's licence* First Aid* Through Their Eyes (Reporting Abuse and Neglect)# **What we offer*** NFP salary packaging benefits (up to $15,900 tax free) and Entertainment Benefit ($2,650 tax free)* Flexible working arrangements* Employee Assistance Program – confidential counselling service* Financial, retail, and lifestyle discounts* Discounted health and fitness programs through Fitness Passport* Up to 8 weeks of leave per year through our purchase leave scheme* Generous parental leave (12 weeks)* Up to 5 days paid leave per year to support a TSA program or activity* A supportive, inclusive culture with passionate and dedicated team members* The opportunity to make a meaningful difference through your contribution to youth services# **How to apply**Please submit your resume and a cover letter addressing the key capabilities of the role.
