**About the Role**:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Paediatrician to join our Child Protection Services team. This position offers an opportunity to play a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable children and families.

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.

As a Consultant in Child Protection Services, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team working to ensure the safety and protection of children in our community. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, forensic medical assessments, developing tailored intervention strategies and providing expert guidance to healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.

To excel in this role, you must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build trust and rapport with families from diverse backgrounds. A deep understanding of child protection legislation, policies and best practices is essential, as well as the ability to navigate complex situations with sensitivity and professionalism.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

FRACP (Paediatrics) or equivalent appropriate specialist qualification is highly desirable.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
