Optic Fibre Cable Installation Specialist
This role requires extensive travel and working away from home on a 21-day on / 7-day off roster. You'll likely be working in rural areas across NSW, required to work 10–12-hour days. A generous living away from home allowance is provided whilst travelling along with the opportunity to work alongside an inclusive site team.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working away in site teams or based in regional NSW, commutable to project sites. They will assist in the installation of Optic Fibre cables for the Telstra network on the Inter City Fibre Network (ICF) project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Rod, Rope & Hauling – hauling multiple cables by hand & machinery, quality checks.
* Civil activities – repair blockages, operate plant and equipment such as dozer, excavator, vacuum trucks, winches, mobile cranes and HR trucks.
* Labouring duties – cut and repair fences, undertake excavation using hand and mechanical methods.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications include a current driver's licence and current Construction White card. Having any of the following tickets is beneficial but not essential:
* Current, HR Heavy Rigid truck license.
* Operator & VOC Excavator.
* Operator & VOC Dozer.
* Pit, Pipe & Cable Hauling course.
* Current senior first aid certificate.
* Current level 2 traffic management implementation coarse.
* Work safety at heights.
* Asbestos awareness certificate.
* High Risk License,
* Vehicle loading crane.
