About the role
The NDIS Administrator will liaise with support coordinators, case managers and participants/participants' advocates to ensure services are provided in accordance with the participant’s assessed needs and support professional’s availability. The overall responsibility is to provide quality operational services, while maintaining efficiency and meeting compliance and procedural requirements.
The NDIS Administrator will be responsible for the drafting of NDIS service agreements, claiming from the NDIS portal, ensuring all NDIS participant documentation is up to date and liaising with NDIS participants and their support coordinators/advocates. Part of the role will also include assisting our Coordination of Support participants.
We are a small, diverse and hands-on team who all work together daily, making it the perfect culture to learn all areas of the business. The NDIS Administrator will be supported and trained by our NDIS Manager. The NDIS Administrator will at times also assist our service coordination team, who play an integral role in ensuring services are delivered to our customers effectively and efficiently.
This role is a permanent position with the opportunity to work full time Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week. This position also has the opportunity for hybrid working, with the opportunity to grow in the role.
Key responsibilities
Drafting NDIS service agreements, liaising with plan managers and claiming from the NDIS portal
Ensuring all NDIS participant documentation is up to date including care plans, customer profiles, health care plans, OT reports, speech therapist reports, manual handling plans, WHS documentation, mealtime management plans, risk assessments physio and exercise plans in conjunction with our Clinical Team.
Liaising with NDIS participants, local area coordinators, support coordinators and advocates to assist participants to implement their NDIS plan with Just Better Care Central Coast
Handling and addressing feedback/complaints/incidents related to NDIS participants
Alongside our NDIS Manager, assisting with NDIS enquiries and exploring new avenues for new enquiries
Working with the Clinical Team to ensure all necessary records are kept in each NDIS participants file accurately and kept up to date to ensure JBC support workers are receiving all the necessary information to provide a safe and quality service to JBC’s NDIS participants.
On boarding new NDIS participants in line with JBC procedures and completion of documentation
Monitoring NDIS participants' budgets and utilising this information to assist participant/advocates in increasing/decreasing their schedule of support in line with their NDIS goals.
In conjunction with the Service Coordination Team, develop and manage participants service schedules, including service planning, confirmation and short notice placements and cancellations
About you
NDIS experience preferred (but not essential); including drafting service agreements, claiming from the NDIS portal and liaising with NDIS participants, local area coordinators, support coordinators and advocates to assist participants to implement their NDIS plan
Previous customer service experience. Desirably in the health/aged care, non for profit, community services sector, but not essential
Experience in addressing and handling feedback, complaints and incidents
Experience in (or the willingness to learn) risk assessments within a workplace safety context
Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, including familiarity with and confidence in using, the Microsoft Suite
Demonstrated commitment to working within a strengths based, goal driven, person-centred framework
Proven relationship management with all internal and external stakeholders, as well as good interpersonal and negotiation skills
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC)
Current Working with Children Check
Current Driver’s License
