Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled WHS Administration Officer to join our team. As a WHS Administration Officer, you will provide administrative support to the Work Health and Safety team, with key responsibilities including the upkeep of Council's Work Health and Safety Management System, coordination of WHS initiatives, accurate record-keeping, and assistance in the delivery of safety programs.
About The Role
* This is a permanent part-time role in the People and Safety team, based at Council's Moruya Administration Office.
* The successful applicant will work closely with the Work Health and Safety team to ensure the effective implementation of Council's Work Health and Safety Management System.
* You will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development and maintenance of Council's WHS policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the Work Health and Safety team, including but not limited to:
* Coordinating WHS initiatives and events;
* Upkeep of Council's Work Health and Safety Management System;
* Accurate record-keeping and reporting;
* Assistance in the delivery of safety programs.
Requirements
* An accredited TAFE qualification or other relevant certification in business administration;
* Strong administrative experience and well-developed organisational skills;
* A sound understanding of current Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and best practices relevant to the local government sector;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills;
* High-level computer literacy, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
