Full-time Commis Chef
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Full-time Commis Chef. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook menu items as per cooking guidelines and set standards.
* Support senior chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks, including food assembly and plating.
* E nsure food safety procedures are being followed at all times.
* Maintain control and leadership in the kitchen during service times in allocated sections.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations.
Requirements:
* Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
* Food Handlers Certificate.
* Experience working in a pub/bistro fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of fundamental cooking methods and recipe execution.
* Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Full working rights in Australia.
