Deliver advanced level, evidenced based Psychology services and coordination of care for consumers
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
* Apply advanced and highly specialised knowledge of physical, neurological, psychiatric, developmental, cognitive, and sensory disabilities for patients with complex psychosocial disability and challenging behaviours, including use of evidence-based management principles, across inpatient and community settings.
* Deliver advanced level psychological assessment and management and/or coordination of care for people living with a disability who have complex psychosocial disability and challenging behaviours, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, with minimal clinical supervision. This will include, for example, facilitating observation and documentation of behaviours, including potential triggers to be alleviated in long term behaviour support plan and NDIS service provision. Provide advice and recommendation for alternative behaviours for care providers and de-escalation strategies.
* Provide advanced level guidance to service planning and lead implementation of evidence-based reviews and service evaluation activities to support continuous quality improvement and maintenance of clinical practice standards within the MIND team.
* Use and model authoritative counsel, advanced-level problem solving and critical thinking to resolve complex problems and facilitate independent clinical reasoning and professional judgement within MIND and with key stakeholders.
