This 4-year, full-time supervised apprenticeship will provide you with in-depth training relevant to the Fabrication industry, specialising in powder coating. Our host business has been in business for over 30 years and services both domestic and commercial applications. On completion you will receive a certificate III in Engineering Fabrication - Surface Finishing
What's involved & what you will learn
* Learning and applying powder coating techniques as you develop your skills
* Pre -Treat work for subsequent surface coating
* Prepare and produce specialised coatings
* Control surface finish production and finished product quality
* Make up solutions
* Prepare surfaces by abrasive blasting
* Adhere to Work Health and Safety policies
About You
Are you a confident, committed, and motivated individual with a can-do attitude and a passion for the Engineering/Spray Painting industry? Our ideal applicant will:
* Hold a valid drivers licence (or be able to commit to get to & from work)
* Work Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:30pm
* Hold a White Card (and willing to obtain)
* Can use initiative within the workplace
* Have high attention to detail and exceptional organisation skills
* Be extremely reliable and punctual
* Be motivated to work in the fabrication/surface finishing industry and able to handle working a fast-paced environment

Community Solutionsis a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
