About this role
Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to sew boat biminis, canopies, travel covers and clears. Training will be provided on bending and fitting bows as well as installation processes.
The standard working hours are 6am – 2:30pm from Monday to Friday with a 40 hour work week, however we can consider part-time, casual or school hours arrangements. Please let us know what suits you best.
* Cutting and bending bows
* Measuring and creating patterns for biminis and canopies
* Operating industrial sewing machines to sew biminis, travel covers and clears
* Fitting bimini tops to bows and boats
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
* Industrial sewing experience including operating various machines such as single needle, twin needle and overlockers
* Experience working with canvas, vinyl and PVC materials is an advantage
* Excellent attention to detail and pride in work
* Reliability and good attendance
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Use of power tools and hand tools
* Australian work rights
* Willingness to learn and develop skills in boat building
