About the Role
The purpose of a St John Ambulance Queensland (SJAQ) Transport Service Team Leader is to provide leadership, development support and coordination to the Service Delivery Team within the Wide Bay region.
This role will be responsible for the management and promotion of a competent, engaged and vibrant team of logistics professionals. Service Delivery functions will provide clients with timely, efficient, effective, and quality direct support including coordination and rostering of staff/volunteers, equipment and vehicles to support the client need. The primary services being delivered by the team will be direct transport and accompanied activities.
The role will partner closely with the Brisbane based Service Delivery Team Leader to ensure scheduling, dispatch and client service provision in all areas meets requirements.
Role Responsibilities
Performance and output of service delivery staff based in Wide Bay
Scheduling operations of relevant vehicles
Fleet requirements within the region
Behavior management of staff as required
Working with Community Services Leadership team to problem solve and produce success strategies.
Represent the SJAQ leadership team to local stakeholders
About you (skills and experience)
Demonstrated leadership experience required.
Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience highly regarded
Excellent coaching and conflict resolution skills required.
Experience in transport & logistics highly regarded
Commitment to the mission and values of St John Ambulance Queensland
NDIS Worker Screening check (current or ability to obtain one)
Blue Card (current or ability to obtain one)
Criminal History Check (current or ability to obtain one)
