About the Role: This position is for a day cleaner and it will be an 8 hour straight shift during school hours. Responsibilities include, but not limited to; * Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all internal areas, including windows, furniture, fixtures, toilets, sick bays, and floor surfaces. * Clean and maintain external areas, including paved surfaces, drains, gutters, graffiti removal, and litter control. * Operate, clean, and maintain cleaning equipment, including hosing, sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, and polishing floors. * Manage cobweb, mildew, dust, and high-reach cleaning using appropriate equipment. * Ensure site security by locking/unlocking buildings and activating/disarming security systems. * Liaise with school leadership regarding supplies, report safety/security issues, and direct visitors to appropriate personnel. Highly desirable skills and experience: * Previous cleaning experience, particularly in a school or similar environment. * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. * Ability to follow health and safety guidelines, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. * Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. * Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to tasks.
