Risk Advisory Services (RAS) is hiring for a Senior Consultant, based in Sydney or Brisbane, who is seeking to rapidly evolve their practical insurance knowledge and experience by joining our team of insurance and risk management consultants. The Opportunity
RAS is looking for a dynamic and technically astute senior consultant, based in either Sydney (NSW) or Brisbane (QLD). This is a full-time hybrid role with flexibility for remote work. You will be responsible for providing advice and services to existing and new RAS clients including managing insurance programmes on an outsourced basis; conducting independent reviews of risk and insurance programmes; and evaluating the capabilities and improving the service delivery of insurance brokers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
A vital part of this position will be the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders in senior management roles. Other responsibilities include:
* Maintenance of our clients' insurance programmes
* Understanding clients' corporate objectives and risk culture to ensure that their insurance programmes are consistent with their needs
* Liaising with insurance service providers, including insurance brokers, regarding all aspects of insurance, including programme design, placement, and claims
* Developing and implementing insurance frameworks and strategies
* Reviewing complex insurance arrangements and undertaking analytical reviews to support insurance program enhancements and structural recommendations
* Undertaking due diligence on behalf of private equity clients and drafting reports with material findings and recommendations
* Facilitating tenders for broker services including data collection, response scoring and assisting clients with transition of broking services
* Identifying growth opportunities across outsourced insurance management roles and one-off projects
* Supporting the implementation of recommended insurance programme modifications or enhancements
* Providing ad-hoc advice on all insurance related matters
Do you have what it takes?
Ideally, you'll embrace many of the following qualities:
* An enthusiastic, self-starter with a personal ethic to provide a high level of service to our clients.
* The confidence to work individually with initiative while being equally comfortable working within a team environment.
* Possess excellent technical insurance skills with at least ten (10) years corporate insurance experience and a deep understanding of the Australian general insurance market.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a desire to think outside the box.
* Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
* Tertiary education in a business and/or financial discipline. Professional qualifications in general insurance and/or risk management are also highly desirable.
* You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with no work restrictions.
