Overview
Full-time permanent position for qualified fitters in Singleton. Role: workshop-based service and repair work and fitting components on customer sites as required. Candidates with Fitter & Turner, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Plant Mechanic or Light Vehicle Mechanic with hydraulic qualifications are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
* Conduct service and repair work on equipment in workshop and at customer sites as required.
* Install equipment and fault find; perform preventative/planned maintenance.
* Adhere to safety policies and procedures as part of a team.
Qualifications
* Trade qualified Fitter or similar
* Certificate 4 in Fluid Power (desirable)
* Coal board medical (desirable)
* Hunter Valley Mine site inductions (desirable)
* Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Experience working on industrial or manufacturing processing/production lines
* Ability to troubleshoot; assembly and disassembly of components
* Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude
Benefits
* Full-time permanent position
* $45-$50 per hour + allowances (depending on experience and qualifications)
* Workshop work allowance - $2 per hour
* Non-Mine Site work allowance - $3 per hour + 5% Site Allowance
* Mine Site work allowance - $5 per hour + 10% Site Allowance
* Monday to Friday 9 day fortnight - Standard hours 6.30am to 3pm
* Overtime available at penalty rates; day shifts only, no nights or weekends (Saturday optional)
* Call out rates – minimum 4 hours paid at OT rates
* Further training and development including opportunity for Certificate IV in Fluid Power
