About the role
Students at Ormiston College are offered expert tuition on the full range of instruments and voice. There is a staff of 12 casual Music Tuition Specialists who are all outstanding instructors of their instrument. The majority of lessons are private lessons taught during school hours at the College. Participation by the students in Music Tuition is purely voluntary with over 540 students currently involved.
Co-curricular Music
Ormiston College has an established reputation for excellence in music performance. There is a wide variety of instrumental and vocal ensembles on offer involving students of all ages with all levels of experience. Some ensembles involve students from both the Junior and Secondary Schools while others are separate.
Quality tuition is an essential element of these programs, and Music Tuition Specialists are an integral and much valued part of a quality music staff who enjoy an extraordinary reputation and prominent profile within the College and in the wider community.
Mandatory requirement
Applicants should possess or be eligible to possess a current Positive Notice Blue Card from the Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
About you
You are an enthusiastic and energetic Guitar Tuition Specialist with the necessary qualifications to teach and assist our Guitar students to succeed in their pursuit of excellence in Academic Music, Music Tuition and Co-curricular Music.
