About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager to lead Ultimate Plant Trailers Pty Ltd, a successful manufacturing company based in North Geelong, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business and driving continued growth and profitability.
What you'll be doing
- Providing strong leadership and direction to the management team and all employees
- Developing and executing the company's strategic business plan to achieve ambitious growth targets
- Overseeing all day-to-day operational functions, including production, finance, HR, sales and marketing
- Building and maintaining key client and supplier relationships to drive business development
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing operational efficiencies
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and company policies
- Analyzing financial and operational data to inform decision-making and drive performance
- Fostering a positive, cooperative and high-performing organisational culture
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience as a General Manager or in a senior executive role, ideally within the manufacturing or engineering sector
- Proven track record of leading organisational growth and delivering robust financial results
- Excellent strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to develop and execute successful business plans
- Outstanding leadership, people management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking abilities
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting
- Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering or a related discipline
