About the role:
Our client is a leading manufacturer of innovative healthcare technologies and seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer. This is a hands-on design and development role where you’ll contribute to life-changing medical products. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life, from initial design through to commercialisation.
- Design and develop mechanical components for new medical devices.
- Create detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct design analysis, prototyping, and testing to ensure reliability and performance.
- Support the full product development lifecycle.
- Solve complex engineering challenges with creativity and precision.
- Document design processes and maintain accurate records.
- Drive continuous improvement in design practices and methodologies.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Opto-mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design (medical device experience preferred).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience with design for manufacturing and design for assembly.
- Ability to work independently within a diverse engineering team.
