Project officers play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within government agencies.
The APS5 Project Officer and Insights position is responsible for assisting in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans. This includes contributing to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
As a key member of the Performance, Quality and National Workload Management branch, you will influence high-quality end-to-end participant experience through reporting and insights on continuous improvement, quality, performance, sustainability, workload and workforce management.
The ideal candidate will have Australian Citizenship, Government administration & writing experience including coordinating, drafting, editing a range of agency documentation, at least 2 years project management experience or experience in government or the social services field, well-developed communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders and manage expectations, conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to explain complex issues succinctly, and ability to access, understand and present data around key agency metrics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in project management and coordination activities.
* Contributing to the development and management of project plans and schedules.
* Providing advice, procedural guidance and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
* Performing research and analysis including contributing to the preparation of reports on relevant project activities.
* Contributing to regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
* Drafting written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review.
* Assisting with monitoring project budgets, reviewing and reporting on expenditure and assisting with procurement and contract management.
* Assisting with the identification and management of project risks, issues and benefits.

* Performance, Quality and National Workload Management branch influences high-quality end-to-end participant experience through reporting and insights on continuous improvement, quality, performance, sustainability, workload and workforce management.
* The branch reviews consistency and quality of operational activities against standards, procedures and practices across the end-to-end participant value chain, leading the Sustainability Initiative and the Frontline Services Performance Model.
What You Need To Succeed
