As Finance Accounting - Leases, you will assist in the management of the day-to-day lease obligation calculation and AASB 16 lease accounting processes and reporting for ALH Group Ltd and Endeavour Drinks Group ensuring they are completed with integrity and accuracy and in a timely manner.
Here’s a snapshot of the Financial Accounting - Leases responsibilities
You will be responsible for building effective working relationships across Finance, ALH Operations and Endeavour Drinks group and managing high transaction volumes and a large lease portfolio with multiple stakeholder groups in additon to;
1. Implementing agreed policies and procedures to improve integrity of data
2. Responding to business initiatives to ensure financial accounting activities are implemented
3. Develop a proactive approach towards the business
4. Perform the turnover rent calculation as per the turnover rent clause and turnover certificate
5. Review the AASB16 events and ensure the accounting recognition is properly updated accordingly in a timely manner
6. Liaise with the landlord on any issues with turnover rent calculation
7. Perform the turnover rent calculation as per the turnover rent clause and turnover certificate
8. Prepare and post lease accounting journals including depreciation, interest charges, asset and liability movements in line with AASB16 requirements
9. Assist with the implementation of our new lease management system, due to go-live in November 2023c
10. Undertake ad hoc project work within the lease accounting area
Now let’s talk about you
Ideally you'll have 2+ years post degree hands on accounting experience including AASB16 lease in a multi-lease environment as well as;
11. CPA/CA or equivalent
12. Exposure to MRI Horizon, Nomos One, PEPS+ or other lease management software
13. Preferably some exposure to fixed asset accounting but not mandatory
14. Intermediate Excel skills (including Pivot tables and Lookups)
15. Ability to document and deliver process improvements.
16. Ability to work autonomously.

18. Drive and tenacity to problem solve to overcome challenges.
19. Flexibility and adaptability to changing environments.
20. Ability to engage various parts of the business to deliver optimal outputs
