We are currently seeking a Part-Time Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at Peppers Docklands in Melbourne. This position is ideal for someone passionate about culinary arts and looking to grow their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment. The role offers minimum 2 working days per week, making it suitable for individuals seeking flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist senior chefs in food preparation and cooking across various kitchen sections
* Ensure consistent food quality and presentation
* Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace in compliance with food safety standards
* Support the kitchen team with daily operations and mise en place
* Learn and grow by rotating through different kitchen duties
Requirements:
* Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage, but not essential
* Passion for food, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset
* Availability to work 2–4 days per week, including weekends or public holidays if required
* Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
